Messaging Administrator

The Messaging Administrator based in our Philadelphia, PA office as a member of the infrastructure team will provide computer services and support to all USI Offices and clients. This position's major responsibility area is to manage the USI messaging system and related systems as well as participating on a team providing general Tier-3 services to the organization.


  • Work with a team responsible for the maintenance, administration and upgrades of the enterprise messaging system
  • Develop preventative maintenance programs, disaster recovery plans and redundancy plans. Maintain and test these plans regularly
  • Provide support of the instant messaging environment, Mobile Device Management, Anti-SPAM and other messaging related services
  • Provide systems administrative support for other systems as required by the Tier-3 Infrastructure team
  • Perform the necessary documentation additions, updates and deletions to the in-house documentation
  • Adhere to the design, programming and application standards as setup by USI


  • BS or BA degree (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent experience preferred
  • CSSK or similiar training preferred
  • Knowledge of Cloud-based technologies a plus
  • Must have 5+ years experience in messaging administration
  • Certification in MS Exchange administration a plus
  • Knowledge of Skype for Business, AirWatch, Microsoft Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Cisco Ironport a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, good communication and people skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Travel as required to any of the other USI locations or client locations
